Choose fileWhy 50 KB?
50 KB is the common ceiling for passport size photos on Indian recruitment forms, and many forms pair it with a 20 KB minimum. A modern phone photo is 50 to 100 times larger than that.
Drible handles both ends: set 50 as the maximum, add a minimum if your form has one, and the tool returns a JPG inside that window. A passport photo cropped to head and shoulders usually fits at a high quality without being resized.
Forms that ask for 50 KB or less
- IBPS and SBI photo: 20 to 50 KB, 200 x 230 pixels preferred
- IBPS left thumb impression: 20 to 50 KB, 240 x 240 pixels
- RRB NTPC and Group D signature: 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 x 60 pixels
- PAN card photo and signature (eSign route): up to 50 KB each
Rules change between notifications, so check the notice for your exam or application.
How the target size works
- The tool encodes your image at different JPEG qualities and keeps the highest one that stays under 50 KB, so you get the sharpest file the limit allows.
- If even a low quality is too big, it reduces the pixel size step by step until the file fits, and shows the final width and height.
- If your form also has a minimum, it can enlarge a very small image until the file is big enough.
- Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so it is safe for signatures and ID photos.
Questions about 50 KB images
Set the maximum to 50, tick "The form also has a minimum size" and enter 20. The tool keeps the result inside that window.
Set the minimum and the tool enlarges the image as needed to reach it. Starting from a sharper, larger scan gives the best result.
JPG. Almost every government and exam form accepts only JPG or JPEG, so the target mode uses JPG by default.
