The SBI Junior Associates (Clerk) application will not register until you upload four scanned files: your photograph, your signature, your left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration. Each has a preferred pixel size and a strict KB range, and a signature that does not match the one you sign at the exam gets you disqualified.
Below are the exact specifications from SBI's own advertisement, the declaration text you have to copy out, and a quick way to prepare all four files on your own device.

The official upload limits
These come from Annexure II of SBI's advertisement CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 for Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales), dated 11 August 2026, on sbi.bank.in (read on 13 October 2026). Online registration for that cycle ran from 11 to 31 August 2026. The same numbers appeared in the 2025 advertisement, but check the one for your cycle before you apply.
- Photograph: 200 x 230 pixels preferred, 20 KB to 50 KB. Light, preferably white, background; look straight at the camera. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted; religious headwear is allowed if it does not cover your face.
- Signature: signed on white paper with a black ink pen, 140 x 60 pixels preferred, 10 KB to 20 KB. Signatures in capital letters are not accepted.
- Left thumb impression: on white paper with black or blue ink, 240 x 240 pixels at 200 DPI (3 x 3 cm), 20 KB to 50 KB. If you have no left thumb, you may use your right thumb.
- Handwritten declaration: in English, on white paper with black ink, 800 x 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 x 5 cm), 50 KB to 100 KB. Not in capital letters.
- File type for all four: JPG or JPEG.
The declaration text
Copy this out by hand, in your normal running handwriting, filling in your name and date of birth: "I, (name of the candidate), Date of Birth (date), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine."
Write it on a white sheet with black ink, leave a margin around it, and photograph it flat so the lines are straight.
Step by step for each file
Crop each file tightly
Open Crop Image and crop the photo to head and shoulders, the signature close around the ink, the thumb impression to a square and the declaration to the edges of the text.
Resize to the preferred pixels
In Resize Image set 200 x 230 for the photo, 140 x 60 for the signature, 240 x 240 for the thumb and 800 x 400 for the declaration.
Fit each one in its KB window
Use Compress to 50 KB with a 20 KB minimum for the photo and thumb, Compress to 20 KB with a 10 KB minimum for the signature, and Compress to 100 KB with a 50 KB minimum for the declaration.
Make sure every file is JPG
If any file is PNG or HEIC, convert it with Convert Image Format before uploading.
When a file is too small
The signature at 140 x 60 pixels and the photo at 200 x 230 pixels are tiny images, so they can come out below the 10 KB and 20 KB minimums. The compress tools fix this when you tick the minimum box: they raise the quality, or enlarge the image slightly, until the file is big enough. SBI's sizes are marked as preferred, so a slightly larger image is acceptable.
Mistakes that get applications rejected
- Signature or declaration written in capital letters.
- A blurred or smudged thumb impression, often from too much ink.
- A signature at the exam that does not match the uploaded one, which leads to disqualification.
- Caps or dark glasses in the photograph, or a small, distant photo.
- Any of the four files signed or written by someone else.
