How to use Rotate PDF

  1. Open your PDF

Drop the PDF with sideways or upside-down pages. Thumbnails of every page appear.

  2. Rotate pages

Turn single pages with their own button, or rotate every page at once by 90 or 180 degrees.

  3. Save the fixed PDF

Download the corrected file. The rotation is permanent in any PDF reader.

How to rotate PDF pages permanently

Scanners and phone apps often save pages sideways or upside down, and rotating the view in a PDF reader only fixes it for you. Rotate PDF saves the new orientation into the file itself, so everyone who opens it sees the pages the right way up.

Rotate one page or all of them

Each thumbnail has its own rotate control, so you can fix just the one landscape table in the middle of a report. The Rotate All buttons turn every page 90 degrees clockwise, 90 degrees counter-clockwise or 180 degrees in one click. Click again to keep cycling through orientations.

No quality loss

Rotation is stored as a page setting rather than by redrawing the content, so text, vector graphics and images are untouched. The file size stays the same, and text remains selectable and searchable.

Private by default

Your PDF is processed in the browser tab and never uploaded, which matters for scanned IDs, medical forms and contracts. To reorder or delete pages as well as rotate them, use Edit PDF; to remove pages entirely, use Split PDF.

Common reasons pages end up sideways

Phone scanning apps guess orientation from the camera angle, flatbed scanners feed landscape pages the same way as portrait ones, and documents that mix portrait text with landscape tables or charts often come out with some pages turned. Fixing them before sending saves every reader from rotating the view themselves.
