How to use Split PDF

  1. Open your PDF

Drop a PDF onto the page. Every page appears as a thumbnail so you can see what you are splitting.

  2. Choose how to split

Click the pages you want, type a range like 1-3, 5, 8-10, or split every N pages into separate files.

  3. Download

Get one PDF with your selected pages, or a ZIP of numbered PDFs when you split into several files.

How to split a PDF or extract pages

Splitting a PDF lets you pull out only the pages you need: one signed page from a long contract, a single chapter from a book, or each invoice from a batch scan. Drible's Split PDF works entirely in your browser, so confidential documents are never uploaded.

Three ways to split

Pick the mode that matches what you are doing:

  • Select pages visually: click thumbnails to pick exactly the pages you want in the new file.
  • Page ranges: type something like 1-3, 5, 7-10 when you already know the page numbers.
  • Split every N pages: cut a long document into equal parts (for example every 2 pages for double-sided forms). The parts download together as a ZIP with numbered file names.

Is quality affected?

No. Pages are copied into the new file without re-encoding, so text stays sharp and selectable and images keep their original resolution. The output is usually much smaller than the original because it only contains the pages you kept.

Good to know

There is no fixed page limit; documents with several hundred pages work fine on most computers. Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. To rearrange or rotate pages rather than remove them, use Edit PDF or Rotate PDF, and to put split parts back together, use Merge PDF.
